eczema

What is eczema? Eczema is a skin disease that the cause is unknown. This disease starts out by itching in the knees, face, feet, and hands. The areas that are affected by this are usually thick, scaly, or dry. Any one can get this disease. Little kids usually get this mostly on their face. Eczema is usually found in the families that have history of allergies or asthma. Eczema is a very unwanted disease. I have a family member that has this disease and it has a very intense care specially when they are little. When my cousin was born he was put in like a blue ray light to help his skin out. When he was about two months old he started itching his cheeks a lot. He got to the point where his cheeks were bleeding because he was scratching too much. They took him to the doctor and at first they did not know what was wrong. Then his legs became very dry and scaly looking. That is when they figured out that he had eczema. Because of this my aunt has to wash his clothes separately. My aunt also needs to put ointment all over his body so the eczema does not come back as bad as when he was younger. This disease is just controlled with oinment and special care.
