Bulimia Nervosa

Bumilia Nervosa is another kind of eating disorder. It's often just called bulimia. Bulimia is when you eat a lot of food in a short amount of time. When the person eats a lot of food in a short amount of time it's called binging. After the person goes through the period of binging, they get the feeling of guilty and shame. When this happens the person tries undoing what they just did by sometimes just throwing up, exercising, or just not eating, this process is called purging. Bulimia is most similar to anorexia in some ways. People who are bulimic go through phychological depressions, anxiety like anorexic people. Some of the symptoms are chronically inflamed and sore throat, swollen glands in the neck and below the jaw, tooth enamel and gastroesophageal reflux disorder. This eating disorder sometimes is passed geneticly, or if theirs some one in the family that already went throught this disorder. Also if the female has had any sexual abuse there a possible chance that they can go through this disorder. The females that are mostly at risk for this are the white middle class womend, families with history of mood swings, or just some one who has very low self-esteem. This disorder can be treated with medicine, phychotheraphy, and family theraphy.
